On average, the routes are 2.5 – 3 miles. We estimate that a family with younger children should complete the route in around 90 minutes – 2 hours.
There is no time limit on the day of your ticket – you can stop for as long between stages as you like.
-
The puzzles are designed to be fairly easy so that children, aged around 6-10, are kept occupied along the route.
However, the game can be played by anyone over the age of 4 – as long as they are accompanied by a responsible adult.
-
Yes, the terrain is generally flat, with one small incline. Steps are not used as part of the game.

No, there is no time limit on this one; it’s about how many points you accumulate. The more clues you need, the fewer points you are awarded.
-
When you book your tickets, you will choose a specific date to play the game.
You are free to play at any time during that day, however, it is recommended to take part during daylight hours.
-
You will need to download the app, and the game on the app.
We recommend that you download the app and the game via wifi at home, so you aren’t using any data when playing. If you do this, you will not need signal or data when playing.
When asked, you will need to allow the app to access your location for guided route reasons; the app uses your location at certain points within the game to direct you to the next place. If the app is unable to do this, the game won’t work. You can delete the app once you have finished playing the game.
We recommend also bringing a backup battery/power bank in case your phone battery runs low.
-
Not really. You will be outside in the U.K., so it’s always recommended to dress according to the weather forecast, and where possible to bring a raincoat/waterproof with you just in case the heavens open!
-
Any on-the-day support is given in the app through helpful hints and clues should you need them.
When you arrive at the starting point, open the app and the downloaded game, and start playing!
If you haven’t downloaded the game at home, you will need to use your data to download the game at the starting point. The download is around 200MB – so if you don’t do this on wifi, you may be charged by your network provider, subject to any allowances you have or not.
